Yes. A Life360 Gold or Platinum membership is required to use all Pet GPS features, including real-time GPS tracking.

If you’re already on a Gold or Platinum plan, you can simply purchase your first Life360 Pet GPS device and add it to your Circle. Free, Silver, or new members will need to upgrade to a Gold or Platinum annual membership to activate and use the device. Memberships can be managed or updated directly in the Life360 app.

While both protect your pet, they work in fundamentally different ways:<ul><li>Life360 Pet GPS device (Real-Time Location): A battery-powered device on the collar that uses cellular service and WiFi to show you where your pet is and allows you to actively find them.</li><li>Microchip (Permanent ID): A tiny implant under the skin that stores an ID number. It cannot track location; it only provides your contact info when scanned by a vet or shelter to identify them once found.</li></ul>

There’s no activation fee for your first device—it’s on us! 😊 For any additional devices, there’s a one-time activation fee of $3.99 per Circle. Please note that Gold and Platinum memberships have limits on the number of Pet GPS devices that can be activated.

Life360 helps you stay on top of your pet’s movements so you can act fast. 🐾 You can set up key Places in the Life360 app—like home, a dog sitter’s house, or the park. When your pet arrives at or leaves these Places, you’ll get notifications, so nothing catches you by surprise. If your pet leaves one of these areas unexpectedly, you’ll receive an alert. If you’re not nearby, you can turn on Escaped Pet Mode to instantly notify your Circle so they can keep an eye out and help bring your pet home. Need extra help? You can also send a Lost Pet Alert to the Life360 Pet Finder Network, which notifies nearby members with your pet’s details and your contact information in case someone spots them.
